The Baltimore Sun is STILL Free at the Library...
Did you know that the society pages of The Baltimore Sun may have reported on your grandparents' dinner parties, vacations and house guests? The social pages of The Sun routinely chronicled the activities of Baltimoreans in much the same way that Facebook or Twitter do today.
We know that our customers need access to the wealth of content that Baltimore County's paper of record has provided since its inception in 1837 and that is why we provide online searchable access - with a valid BCPL library card and your PIN - to almost two centuries of The Baltimore Sun's issues through ProQuest's searchable databases. This robust content includes actual PDF scans of all of the pages, articles, ads, classifieds, death notices, photographs and more from 1837 through 1985 and the full text of the articles appearing in issues from 1990 right up through yesterday.
Make use of these valuable resources for your genealogy, recreational or research needs: check out ProQuest's Historic Baltimore Sun from 1837 to 1985 or the Current Baltimore Sun from 1990 to yesterday's issue!
And don't forget that we have many other newpapers and magazines available online
