Now online, this valuable resource from an expert, independent, nonprofit organization still has the mission  to work for a fair, just, and safe marketplace for all consumers and to empower consumers to protect themselves. A Baltimore County Public Library card is needed to access this database.

 

SaferProducts.gov     
The Consumer Product Safety Commission invites consumers, child service providers, health care professionals, government officials and public safety entities to submit reports of harm (Reports) involving consumer products. Manufacturers (including importers) and private labelers identified in Reports will receive a copy of the Report, and have the opportunity to comment on them. Completed Reports and manufacturer comments are published on this site for everyone to see.

Transportation service for county residents 60+ and the disabled.

 

Medical Assistance Transportation Program
Enables eligible individuals to access needed medical care by providing transportation services.

 

Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Special Fare Programs
People with disabilities and citizens 65 years and older, with an MTA photo identification (ID) card, can ride for reduced fares on bus, Light Rail and Metro and one-half the regular fare on MARC service.

 

Senior Transportation Service
MTA provides Mobility service that makes public transportation both easy and affordable for seniors.
